Gene, it's warm here but we have been getting hit with rain all week plus the over cast sky with wind. Either or, take your choice. No flying but good weather to be building. I haven't gotten the word yet but I'm thinking our dry lake bed isn't so dry at the moment. When the weather does break I will be flying at a real RC field for a while. That means I will have to do some of that pilot stuff and line up to a runway and everything!!
That keeps a lot of lake bed pilots grounded!!

I know what you mean about the weather, these 86-95 degree F (30-35 degrees C) days we are having are utter hell ....... as the horrible north west winds (130kph / 81mph + gusts) that are causing that warmth are starting to do my head in - they already broke one of the poles that hold up my old 3 man dome tent that my daughter was using as a playhouse out in the backyard!
Least tomorrow is going to give us some respite from all this summer madness!!!!!

Guess ya won't be celebrating a ''white'' Christmas. But that can have its advantages for sure!!!!

It's kinda funny, I used to fly 'traction kites' before getting into rc helis and planes, and by default liked the excessive wind (sea breezes) we get as standard in summer down here in Christchurch.
Now I long for winter and the lack of the normal winds that we get when it's too cold for the thermals that cause our summer wind conditions, now it's better flying and a lot of jackets, beanies and runny noses in winter ..... it's funny how life throws you curve balls at times!
Least I still have all my stunt kites in the garage for the next few months .....

I will be looking forward to Mid May, when I can get the tractor to stay on top of the flying field, not sink into it...

Now Now you should all come up to Saskatchewan Canada. Its -22 deg C today, I might even have to wear a pare of gloves to fly today.

cold here and windy, even at night!! ihave a twist 60 I need to maiden!! [:@] Well can't control the weather. So will just sit in the basement, and play guitar! with the marshall volume turned up to 11!!!

Maybe I can change the weather with heavily distorted electric guitar!!!!
I have read that I should reinforce the Fuse just behind the cockpit in the twist. So guess i can do that while waiting for a good flying day.

[>:]Well hear in fly over land Menenasota (if your swedish) the last 2 w/e we have had snow first 18'" then another 6 and for us thats a lot and temps are a balmey -2 f to 29 f , so i just clean/blow from the drive way and walks, its not the snow it's the d***m drifts that are the problem, So I just go back to the shop and work on what ever build I have going.

You northern guys stay warm, and the warm climate guys have fun
Sorry about the spelling just to lazy to fix
Cheers Bob T
