Default Avastar Engine

Wow, my first post. I have an Avastar and was wondering what the biggest engine someone has run on one?
How did yours balance with that engine? :bananahea

Default Avastar Engine

O.S. 46 LA on mine. Pretty light engine, had to put 1 oz of tail weight to balance out.

Default .46FX

Mine just had it's maiden flight under the controls of an instructor yesterday. It's powered by a .46FX looked great, can't wait to fly it myself.

Default Another 46FX

Have had many many flights on my Avistar with a 46FX, 11X5 APC prop, and it gives the best of two worlds. Enough power to really play hard, and that 46FX will idle down very nice for slow flying and landings. I have started to help new fliers and it's a good combination, they just run the engine 2/3 power and it flys smoothly. To balance the plane I have a 1400 mah battery tucked under the control rods, behind the first former to the rear of the servo's. I also but 3 inch wheels on it to help the landings on our grass field. Hey - Enjoy
