Default Can I charge both at the same time

My futaba 6exp came with a charger that can be used for the TX and RX, it has two seperate plugs. If I charge both at the same time will anything happen?

You can charge them both at the same time with no trouble.

Yes. Both batteries will charge at the same time.

Plug them both in. I think the rate of charge on the Rx is 100mah. Meaning, if you have a 1200 mah battery pack, it will take 12 hours to charge fully.

Also the charger will NOT tell you when they are charged, you just have to time it
and they get warm when charged.

Dont ask me how I know.

To be clear it's not a simple math issue where 1200 mah bat on a 100 mah charger is 12 hours. You loose some in the transfer to the point where I beleive it may be 85% or so of the 100mah charge rate gets to the battery. Normally a 15 hour charge of 600 mah battery at 50 mah will fully charge the system. There is also something called a forming charge which should initially be considered as well which ensures new batteries will be able to be "fully charged" going forward. The typical wall wart type chargef can do this since its not a timed or peak detection charge and will just go and go until you unplug it.

Alright thanks. I didn't know these chargers don't have peak detection.

And JimmyZep, How do you know?

Instead of starting another thread, I'll ask here.<div>

There are many things that can cause a vibratrion in an engine. Yes some is normal and havingit idle low would cause it to be worse. A unbalanced prop can cause it a misreamed prop can cause it a loose engine could cause it. These are all things I would look at. Also look at what seems to be vibrating. Does it look like just the engine is shaking or is the whole plane. does it get worse with higher RPM or go away.

FlyingGatsby,

My 46 LA did the same thing at low idle on my Kadet Senior. However, it seemed to get better with time, perhaps the breaking in process helped.(?) Also, It is a ringed engine as opposed to an ABC engine, perhaps that can make a difference too? Not sure though. Maybe some experienced members can elaborate.

I can't see the plane vibrate, so that means it doesn't spread through the plane too much. But you can notice the vibration the most on the engine, and it smoothen out a lot as the rpm gets higher, enough that you can't see the vibration anymore.

I had an os 46 ax that vibrated like crazy too until I changed the prop on it.

For anyone that wants to keep batteries ready to fly over a period of time using wall warts there is one and IMO only one way to go.

Due to going out of style with lithum batteries, they may now be going out of stock. I have several. For anyone still using NiCad and NiMah, this takes all the problem out of being charged and ready to fly when weather and/or mood creeps up on you.
