I just flew my second plane. It's a Bruce Tharpe Venture 60.
I had not intended to be flying this plane already, but I crunched my LT 40 trainer beyond repair. I had to wait a few weeks to get the kit. Then I had to build it. Since I didn't own any other planes, I had to go through withdrawal for about 6 weeks.
The kit went together nicely, although you need to read the instructions carefully, as the steps are not all sequential. I also had to alter the wheel mounting. The kit has #10-32 screws for the wheels, but the hole in 3" Dubro wheels isn't big enough. If I get motivated I'll write up a review.
But, I just thought I'd post that I was successful in flying, and landing, this plane even though I was rusty! So I'd recommend it as a good second plane.
