He probably has more invested in just the power and motor than I have in all four of my planes....

He did a great job on that, and he flies it with smooth movements, too.

Beautiful plane. I didn't see where it said it was electric. It says the retracts have electric motors, but I didn't see anything about the power plant.

he must have a tuned exhaust, usually planes that big with gas engines are very loud and shake while taxiing ... if you forward to the very end its quite still. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMa-Y...ailpage#t=535s

It sounds like a "gas" (petrol) engine to me with some prop tip noise.

I certainly didn't hear the distinctive whine of an electric motor, I thought that maybe with a gear drive, and large enough prop, the prop noise would maybe make that sound. It just didn't sound like a typical 2 stroke gas engine. Now I am interested in hearing exactly what was driving it!

Does he have brakes on that thing? The taxi maneuvers make it look like he does. Pretty amazing plane and pilot!

sounds like a big glow saito 1.80 four stroke to me
