Default Servo Help

I am putting a plane together and here is the problem I'm having. I have 2 S3010 servo with a spectrum ar600 receiver. I have a two 24 extention for each one and a Y connector going to the reciever. I only have one servo that works. I can switch them around but only the right side will work. What can this possible be? Do I need to go into the setting and change something.

im guessing the y connector is bad, get a new one or simply do not use one at all

This is the third one that I have used. How do I connect them together without using one?

G'day

If you have a Spektrum radio that has mixing, you can put one servo into the normal channel for the aileron, and a second servo into a spare channel (Channel 5, 6, 7 etc) then use mixing to mix the aileron channel signal into the spare channel. But, you do have to use "trim include".

If your radio is a DX7 then there are 6 programable mixes available. Mixes 5 and 6 have "trim include".

Trim Include allows you to trim the aileron channel and the trim is then also applied to the second channel.

If you have a DX5 or DX6, I don't know whether this is possible but it may well be. Have a look in the manual.

Hope this helps a bit.

I have the DX6 radio so I'll look and see if I can mix them together. Never mix before but will try to see what I can do. Thanks again for you help.

If you have changed the Y 3 times did you check the extensions as well? did you swap the servos?

ok here is what you do
plug one servo into the reciever see if it works, then plug the other servo into the reciever, see if it works.

then plug one extension into a servo and plug the extension into the reciever, see if it works, repete for the other extension

if they both work
plug the y harnes into the reciever then plug the servos into the y harness, if only one works you have a bad y harness. it doesnt matter if you have 3 y harnesses...they are all bad

or just learn to solder and make your own extensions and this wouldnt be a problem.(just google it)

Thanks All,
It appears that 2 of my Y extension and one of the extensions itself was bad. Hmm that was very odd but it working now.

Not as odd as you think. It's common enough that I haven't used an extension or Y in years. I extend my servo wires by soldering on more servo wire as needed. That eliminates the need for extensions and the wire doesn't corrode and need cleaning. Ys tend to be a problem new from the box. If you bought a radio that can be mixed {you did} then read the instructions and play with your plane and radio until you have an idea of what mixes you can use. Well, the DX6I mixes, I haven't fooled with the old DX6 so I'm not sure what it has.

having on plugged in wrong (ie black wire NOT to black wire) can cause this. easy thing to overlook
