I have a few older electric motors that were given to me, I would like to get some batteries for them, not sure what would match up well with them. Hoping to get them to work on a .20 to .30 size plane or spad.
Rx540vz Technigold Tamiya
"Leisure" 05 stock motor
Le mans 240E Kyosho
Thanks for the help....

We really need more information about the motors.
Do you have full specs for them, and/or a link to where they are sold so we can see the specs there?

Thats really all I know. I think one motor had the voltage rating 7.28.4v thats about all. The numbers on the motor 240E stands for the seconds of run time and e for "economy"
I know they will run on a 1100mah nimh , but that just does not give it enough rpms.

Google is your friend. Here's what I came up with.
Rx540vz Technigold Tamiya - 7.4-8.4 volts, 14 amps, 19k rpm. That's a touch over 100 watts, so it could power a model around 1-1.5 pounds with a smallish prop.
"Leisure" 05 stock motor- Couldn't find specs, but here's the manufacturer's website with a contact button. http://leisurercmodels.com/
Le mans 240E Kyosho- No amp or watt info, but it's 3846 Kv which makes it way too fast to turn a useful prop without a gearbox. Setting up one might cost you as much as a different motor that's not so hot would.

The Rx540 could be used with a LiPo 2S pack. You would still need an ESC for it too. It is a brushed motor... Ugh....
The Leisure 05 was designed to be used with a long prop drive on gliders. It is a BRUSHED motor ugh.
And the Le mans 240E Kyosho is also a brushed motor... bummer.
Given you would have to buy new ESC's and batteries, plus you would need prop adapters and mounts, your best bet is to pitch the motors and get new electric motors.
You could go to say, HobbyKing and buy the entire setup for less than what you would pay trying to get one of these motors working.
Brushed motors are practically hard to find in RC planes now-a-days, as only the cheapest "toy" planes still have them installed and even there they are rare.

Yea I figured with outdated motors i would have to find outdated equipment to run it, too bad. I hate to trash those motors, one was still new in the box.
I really appreciate the help guys!
