On Saturday I purchased the Parkzone Trojan. Today after work I decided to go the to baseball fields down the street and try to fly it. There was a little wind, but I didn't think it was too much. I've flown the Storm Launcher in more wind. This would be my first time flying a hobby grade plane.
Everything went pretty good. It got in the air surprisingly quick. One second it was on the ground and the next it was high above. I mainly flew in circles and figure 8's. Turning wasn't real smooth, but not too terrible. Especially with the little bit of wind. I made a few good turns, but most were kinda sloppy. I was able to to land it after a few minutes. I came down kind of hard on all 3 wheels. However there was no damage. So I took back to the sky and flew some more circles. I even did 2 of 3 sloppy rolls.
I started to land it and this time got too close to the fence. It landed fine, but I thought I had more room than I did and couldn't stop it in time. The prop hit the fence and the plane tipped forward. The wings popped off. I decided to come home and survey the damage.
After cleaning it up, the damage wasn't as bad as I feared. The fuselage and horizontal stabilizer are perfectly fine. The prop got scuffed up a little, but I think it is fine. I have an extra anyway. The wing has minor damage as you can see. One of the plastic pieces that hold the landing gear is starting to come unglued. The plastic piece in the third picture has a crack in it, but I think it will be fine once I glue it back on.
I'm sure I can fix it easily. I'll probably head to Hobby Lobby in a little bit to get the right kind of glue. I just have to figure out what kind. Maybe I need two different kind? One for the foam and one to glue the plastic pieces down. Would any of this be what to get? http://shop.hobbylobby.com/store/def...artmentId=8286 I actually had good result with Gorilla Glue when repairing my Storm Launcher and other Air Hogs planes. Would that work here? There is the standard Gorilla Glue, they also have Gorilla super glue, and quick cure Gorilla glue.

Foam safe CA should do fine for that. Gorilla glue will work too, but it's more time and more mess with no additional benefits. Congrats on your first flight with a T-28. I've never had one, but I hear of so many guys who love them.

I would stay away from any kind of super glues, they will melt the foam. Some five minute epoxy would work well, or low temp glue gun. Foam safe CA will work as well. I have had the best luck on foam with the five minute epoxy. Looking at the damage you might want to consider drilling a couple of small holes in the plastic and inserting some sections of tooth picks in when you glue it back on. Should give a little more of an anchor point.

I have the UM t-28 and it is a great little plane to fly. Wanted the bigger one, but went to the T-34 instead, the parkzone wont fly off grass too well, wheels are too small and large enough ones wouldn't fit.
