Default should have flown today..

But wind was up, so decided to stay home and work on getting the PT 19 back together. first time I've covered in fabric and first time I've ever covered a fusealge this large and rounded. A challenge to say the least, but learning alot.

Looks like it is turning out just fine! Second plane I had was a PT-19 Control Line. Always thought I should buy a full scale one but never did. Good airplane and it should fly well.

Me on the other hand, shouldn't have gone flying today!
Way too much wind! I overestimated my flying skills and the planes ability to handle wind, on it's maiden flight! Do'h!

Bad decision from my side, so now I gotta stay in when the weather is nice to glue this thing back together [:@]

Perfect conditions for my glider though [8D]

Sorry about your crash, Same thing happened to the PT 19.. A gust of wind and lack of flying skill! But, it is cool and challenging to get them flying again. My wing wasn't damaged in the crash, but going to recover it so that it looks as good as the rest. Fuselage was really tricky to cover, I used one entire sheet of covering. The rear part angles were really tricky. I ended up having to make a seem on the right side just between the cock pits. If I had it to do over, I think I would have added the covering in sections from the bottom up and from the rear forward. None the less it turned out ok. Next crash I'll recover it in sections It's bound to happne sooner or later!! HAHA!

Hey, is Metallica pre or post Elvis
I remember going to the theatre when I was a kid (cost 25 cents) when an Elvis movie was playing. I remember all the women in the audience screaming, crying from beginning to end! Crazy, but I think all the great bands remember / liked Elvis. Metallica would have probably never been, had it not benn for Elvis!

Looks great Bill,

When it's real windy I remind myself that, take offs
are optional. Landings are mandatory.
