Today was the first nice day since I bought my Apprentice. Took her up for the first time (after leveling all surfaces, and range testing), and man, how awesome. Underestimated the wind a bit, but aside from jerking around a little when it was gliding, it flew really easily. I actually surprised myself. I kept it under 300 feet and maybe around half throttle. This plane definitely has a little zip at full, yet glides so slowly at times. I would make 1-2 large circles then land, about 5 or so times to practice. An occasional crosswind would give me a scare, but ultimately, semi-long grass was my biggest enemy so I can't really complain. Once or twice I'd land and a tire would get stuck, but other than that, what an awesome first day. I didn't realize something like this would get my adrenaline going like it did.<div style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); padding-top: 5px; padding-right: 5px; padding-bottom: 5px; padding-left: 5px; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; font-family: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; -webkit-tap-highlight-color: rgba(26, 26, 26, 0.296875); -webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(175, 192, 227, 0.230469); -webkit-composition-frame-color: rgba(77, 128, 180, 0.230469); "></div>

And just think, the day is coming that you'll think your Apprentice is so slow! Tall grass is actually your friend while learning on your own. If you have a crash that is at least semi-flat, the grass minimizes the damage done.
