Does anyone know where I can get some 6" wheels that won't put me in the poor house. Can't be the foam ones they get flat if the plane sets very long.

Sullivan has 6" wheels. $28/wheel<div>http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...LXFV61&P=7</div><div>
</div><div>Dubro also has 6" wheels, $28/pair. These are a bit "balloon like".</div><div>http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...LXFV61&P=7</div><div>Still Dubro, less balloon looking. $19/each</div><div>http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...LXD804&P=7</div><div>
</div><div>Robart also makes 6" wheels, but these may be out because of the price. They are all roughly $100/each wheel.</div><div>http://www.robart.com/store/wheels/a...s-4-6/6-wheels</div><div>
</div><div>I have the Robart spoked wheels on my Top Flight P-51 and I can tell you that they are a true work of art. But they are pricey indeed.</div><div>
</div><div>Hope this helps you out.</div><div>

All depends on the key words. I was searching for some old time balloon tires/wheels and finally a scale friend gave me the address. Thing is I was there on the site but they didn't come up? I needed them to be like the old free flight wheels of days gone by. My old WWI bipes with the William Bro wheels are foam filled rubber and very thin. I made up some balsa stands that fit on the axles ends to keep the tires off the ground or they went flat on a hot day, the plane would bounce down the runway, then I came up with the axle block idea.

when I did my search all that kept coming up was 6"rims for full scale. I know the plane is big, but doesn't fit in that category. I guess I will have to come with something like you are using. The plane is heavy and in the hot weather, they go flat between flights.
