I have the Carl Goldberg Ultimate tote. Is is a bit sparse on space but, fully loaded, gets pretty heavy. The monster tote looks as if it would need wheels to get it from the car to the field. Also, I found the kit a bit lacking in the instructions and quality of materials. I ended up modfiying/replacing many of the stock parts.
Hope that helps,
Victor

Although I dont know the sig monster, I would encourage you to get a smaller and lighter model. The way I see, those large totes can carry anything you would need. however, stuff you really need in your everyday flying is just a little. Fuel, starter, battery, glow started, fuel pump, a few replacement props and plugs, voltmeter and a few wrenches (alien, prop), some cleaning material and a couple of screw drivers. Then I would get a second box with everything else you would need, such as: epoxy, ca, duck tape, wrenches, prop balancers, spinners, wheels, chargers, screw drivers, replacemet fuel tanks, screws, bolts, nuts, washers, and so on.
Thats just my 2 cents though

Your right, the kit was not worth it, and, in hindsiht, I regret not sending it back. Several of the pieces were warped, too short or, in my opinion, too thin to provide proper stability. That being said, the field box, now complete, serves me well.

An every day tool box from the home improvement store. Works for me! Cheaper, prebuilt, and has pull out tool bins.
A few compartmented storage cases too, for all teh screws and little bits..
Those, with the fuel bottle and starter in a milk crate works troo, and gives you a seat.
I've seen one guy use a bucket, with that fancy 'bucket tool box tote' liner thingy..
And a 'radio Flyer' red wagon, to tote all teh stuff in!!
