What do the restorers use...

Acetone will dissolve all CA and Ambroids. Epoxy is a different story. I don't know of any thing that will dissolve it. You can heat it with a heat gun and you can pull the parts apart.

I use Titebond II and heat will soften it. (Titebond II is polyvinyl acetate, The original Titebond is aliphiatic glue). Heat will soften both.
Countilaw - there is a product made by Jabsco that will dissolve polyester/epoxy.resins. Nasty stuff and you normally wouldn't get there with R/C. It would take forever to get down into a seam, but it might save the day if a batch didn't kick properly when glassing a surface.

That good to know Charlie, I had not heard of Jabsco. I will look into that. You never know when some epoxy or polyester resin won't kick off right. I've had that happen before and never figured out why. Just had to wipe it off with Lacquer thinner and start over.
