Blade orientation
The blades are supposed to have the rounded edge to the front (leading edge) and the tapered flat edge to the rear just like a symetrical aircraft wing.
The covering is supposed to be on the blades, it adds quite a bit of strength so it is essential that it be there. I always used precovered blades so I have never covered any myself.
I'm sure if you post a question about recovering your blades in the heli forum there will be somebody there more familiar with the problem.
I had a nexus and it was a good heli for a beginner, I also had a couple of hawks, a falcon, a raptor and an xcell Pro and a few shuttles.
Please don't take any chances with your blades, they aren't really all that expensive so it would be worth it to buy a new set if you can't safely repair them.
