When I post a message, frequently I must edit it to have the proper meaning. In the old system there was an edit function. With this new system, I have not found an edit function. Please advice. I just noted that there is an edit feature. That is how I was able to add the last two sentences.

We hid it on purpose just to confuse everyone... 
Actually, it was always there. With the new system, it will take everyone a little while to find things. Believe me when I say that you are not alone trying to find things. The "moderator menu" is there, but it's not evident as it was before. But once we find it, well, it's there, ya know?
