Hi!
It's a "standard" MVVS 6,5cc engine. Nr 3066 in the MVVS catalog , no longer produced. We use sport .40 engines in our Q-500 series here in Sweden so the speeds isn't that much to talk about. just around 160-180km/h as we use 10x6 props and 80/20 fuel.

I'll agree with Jaka that a speedy sport plane is a good lead in to flying warbirds. Even something like a Kaos makes sense, since it will get you used to the faster flying and sharpen your reflexes on really controlling every aspect of the plane's flight.

92 flights, all of which are logged and you do not fly ANY stunts..?
Flying stunts is how you learn to react instinctively to bad situations that you might find yourself in while you aren't flying stunts. Flying stunts is basically how you to learn to save a plane that might have a rudder servo jammed off center, an elevator servo with a mind of it's own, regaining orientation in the blink of an eye after swatting a fly and too many other occurances to list here right now.

I think the basic trainer should be absolutely "wrung out" to it's limits by the low time pilot. It is an exercise in learning how to be more relaxed and able to quickly respond to whatever you encounter outside the realm of just another routine flight. The guys who just fly left circles everyday tend to be the ones who freeze up when something doesn't go to plan.

Bought another SE5a recently, they were half price and I couldn't resist..

Flies great with a 40% Aileron / rudder mix (on a switch to disable it if necessary)

Agree with the previous comments that you don't want it on aerobatic machines but for a slow flying scale aircraft with lots of adverse yaw it works well.
