I don't try to too hard to get my props to stay perfectly still on the magnetic balancer. If there are very subtle, slow intermittent movements, I figure something such as air currents in the room could be causing the movement. If the prop is close to staying still, it's probably balanced.

That said, I wish I bought the DuBro balancer instead, since it can balance spinners that do not have a hold in the front.
