Question Binding Problems

I have been flying for just about a year + and I finally ran into a problems that I can't seem to figure out!
i have a Spektrum DX5e transmitter and I am trying to Bind it with a Blue Mix 500 receiver . Which claims to work with my transmitter When I go thru the binding process the A R 500 blinks and then light goes out and after a few seconds I get the steady light, My Elev and Rudder work but the motor a Elite Park 450 just beeps and that's it and the props ticks like a second hand pointer on a watch, What am I doing wrong?
thank you for any help

Maybe throttle channel reversed or low end point set to high. Sounds like a safety issue keeping it from running. Probably something not set right in tx.

Edit: Some esc requires going to full throttle then back to low to arm.

AJ,
Thanks for the response, I tried the throttle up and Back and also my switch for reversing my throttle also? I did do all the things you spoke of and still nothing? That's why I am so perplexed I have also tested it with a different ECS.........Maybe I am just having a "Senior Moment "? As the young kids say around my parts "I Donno"
Thanks again for your quick reply,
Confused in P.A.

Different ESC's require different set up procedures, this usually works
So you have
plane restrained or held by someone?
throttle directions set to Normal?
throttle trim fully down?
Now put throttle lever full up, connect ESC to battery.
Turn on transmiter
Cycle throttle control to full OFF, full ON and back to Off
Throttle channel should now be working.
