Default Need help removing propeller holder

I have a nine eagles xtra 300 771B rc plane and one of the teeth on the part that holds the propeller has broken so I need to change it however I can't get this part off.
Many suggestions?? They have me replacements for this part so it must be possible?

Can you post a picture? I doubt you'll find someone who has worked on many 9 Eagles planes.

It looks like it's held on with a nylon insert nut. So the right sized socket should get it off.

Where would the nut be? At the back of the motor?

No, it's right in the middle of the prop holder if I'm looking at it right.

No that is a smooth knob. Nothing will grab onto that.
Any other ideas?
Thankyou!

Well on this toy store variety stuff they generally do not care or bother with product support. It appears that the prop saver hub is pressed onto the shaft. If the proper part is truly avalible then order it. If you actually get one then its a simple matter to inspect it for the method of installation. likely you can just clamp on to the old broken part to pull it off or failing that just, grind it off..

A little Googling revealed another user found the prop saver to be CA glued onto the shaft, so a drop of debonder and some gentle pulling got it off. Another in the same thread said his wasn't glued, just pressed on very tight.

A basic skill you'll need in RC is the ability to find information. Go to Google and do some searching. You'll be amazed what you can learn.
