Default Great Planes PT electric

ok i just crashed my EP cessna trainer.. I think it was a bad plane LOL... i just won this PT electric last night and crashed my cessna today.. 8x4 prop, T-600 Motor Dymond Delta Peack quick Charger, Jeti 35amp Speed control, and two brand new 7.2 volt battery packs... for $93 w/ s/h... hehe... anyways myquestions are .. i have never built a kit... other than ARF foam trainer.... its says i have to have 6' of covering... towerhobbies.com says i need Sealing Iron (TOPR2100), Heat Gun (TOPR2000), Iron Sock (TOPR2175) ... ill buy the sealing iron i guess but can i use a blow dryer instead of buying a heat gun? i think i may have a heat gun around here but prolly not for hobby use...

the heat gun will turn out tempuratures in excess of 400 degrees. you will have a really hard time with the blow dryer and there is a really good chance that you will burn out the motor trying to get it hot enough

This is still "RE: Great Planes PT Electric", but, not the same thread.

I'm considering buying the, "PT-Electric", but, would like a bit of feedback from anyone who has any experience, good, bad, or ugly.

I have two electrics, already, a piece of junk & the other is a piece of junk. I shouldn't speak poorly of them, I have learned a lot about repairs, component placement, unleveled wings & vert. Stab & rear wings that are not 90 degrees & not correctly oriented to the fuse, etc.

Most of my crashes came from my being left handed & being forced to throw something with my right hand, that I am, for some reason, reluctant to let go of. By the way, are there any radio's with the controls reversed...... throttle on the right side, etc.?

Thanks in advance.

Covering is not that hard some people really enjoy the covering part of building. I myself do it but don't care for it that much as for the tools I do all my covering with a iron I have a heat gun but never use it. Also you can use a baby sock for a iron cover does the same thing. Give it a try its much easier than you think. Hope this helps in your deceision to buy one.
