Default Beginner progressing nicely

Hello all, I just wanted to give advice to beginners like myself and a little shout out to learning through a club. I'm not a complete beginner but pretty close. Waited a long time to join a club but I finally did and they are great! One of the members there has been training me on a Timber. I have been out now about 5 times and am getting to the point where I took off for the first time at my last session. The buddy box is a great way to learn!! So to make a long story short...if you're thinking about learning RC...Join a club!! They are very helpful, show you how to do proper set up, answer questions, give advice and help train you to succeed!

Great advice. I learned by passing the transmitter to my instructor when he yell "Take!" but when I taught I had a buddy box. "Take!" is nerve wracking.

Yeah the technology now days makes it a lot easier to learn. Flying a foamie beginner plane like the Turbo Timber is so nice. I didn't realize how important (and easier) it is to fly a plane that is set up properly, its like it's flying on rails.
