Default Beginner Needs help repairing plane

I am a total newb when it comes to the RC planes. I have a Hobbyzone Champ S+, it’s a small, Styrofoam plane I got about 10 years ago that I fly every few years. Most times I use, I end up crashing it. Each time I’ve managed to glue it back together and it works. This time the damage is a little different and not sure how I can repair and need some help.

After the last crash, when I went up to the plane I could smell the scent of something burning but couldn’t tell what. When I got back home I thought I would connect the battery just to make sure the electronics were working and as soon as I made the connection I think I saw a small spark and burned my finger. I pulled back and the part that connects to the wires from the plane to the battery came off. I think the impact shook the wires off the harness and they crossed each other and when I plugged the battery in again, it started a short. I'm left with the bare positive and negative wires and the small plug it goes into that fell off.

I wanted to see what the easiest way is to repair the wiring? I’d rather not trash it and have to buy another plane since I really only do this as a very casual hobby and I figure repairing it is another way to learn to do something in case I ever do upgrade.
Also, can someone tell me again what is the best kind of glue for the Styrofoam?

Can't help with electronics much. Generally you want use EPO glue for the "styrofoam" planes. You can find that easily, or use something called "FoamTac". I've used both to repair one of my planes. The "FoamTac" works great to re-attach separated hinge joints. You can google both. I would post a link, but I'm new here and not allowed yet.
I also use "Foam putty" which is a soft cream like substance that will dry and harden after application. I filled a fairly big hole; placed couple of wooden toothpics across the hole; apply glue to edges and toothpics, then fill in with some bits of styrofoam; apply glue, then more bits of styrofoam. After about filled the hole, apply the foam putty and smooth out with putty knife or regular dinner knife. After it dries, use a sanding block or sandpaper to sand it smooth with an light pressure. Do both sides of hole.
Good luck
