Default reciver, trans hook up for flaps?

hello everybody, I have a brezze sailplaine from cermarc (brushless) and it has flaps that only go down. I have a hitec eclips 7 transmitter that has a glider setting but my throtle will only go on/off. I like the glid settings but not the throtle. Can I set this up in acro? how do I get the flaps to go down with the knob? Do I need a y or somthing? thanks for the reply

Acro should also have a "flap" setting that will work the same way as in the glider setting. Flaps are only suppose to go down, by the way. The "Knob" on most transmitters, whether in glider mode or acro mode, is usually for flaps.

I have four servos in the wings I can't seem to figure out where to plug them in. The #1 & #6 are for ailerons but where do I put the two flap leads and make them work on channel 6? (the left knob). I can make them work in glide mode but like i said on/off throttle only thats ok for soaring but I need throttle control for acros plus I need to know it anyway thanks

I am not sure about your radio (but I am gonna put my 2ΒΆ in anyway).

When I installed flaps with my JR, and four servos in the wing, I had to have a servo reverser for the flaps. I really had to read the manual to figure out what wing setup I needed, because I wanted the crow setup also. Check your manual again for various wing setups. On mine, the different wings worked the servos very differently. I had to remove the control horn from the servo to keep from pushing the control surface past its limits.

The on/off engines could be two things. First, most gliders are either on or off, since the motor is just used to get the plane to altitude so the quicker the better so no need for a throttle control, just full on power. Second, if you have a speed control connected, then you may need to play with your throttle travel.

I hope this helps at least some :-)

Thanks alot I do have a servo reverser but didn't think I needed it with a computer radio. I also have a Y connecter. The transmitter has a glider setting and you select either 4 wing or 2 wing meaning the number of servos. Mine is a 4 wing and each servo has a channel to plug into on the 7 channel reciver so in that mode it works everything. Did have to set the EPA for the flaps (after re-gluing my horns) and it works good. I dont like the throttel so untill I can figure out how to hook it up in acro thats the way I will fly

glad to hear it rafter!

The servo reverser is dependent on your radio. I had two options.

(after re-gluing my horns)
Sounds like you found the same thing as me :-(. But, it sounds like now you are off to a good start! I hope you can find some thermals

alerons go to y in channel 1. flaps go to y in channel 6 you have set radio epa for 0 up on 6 (flaps) with the eclips 7 you can't have the glider setting and work the throttle like normal. You have to have it in acro but the knob will work the flaps. Just watch out for the flaps not being set to 0 up. leave the rods off untill you are sure
