Hi most of you will probably dissagree with me but i flew my ripmax 40 trainer for a summer then i went out and got a cap232 i think if you get really good with your trainer, keep flying it after you have solo'd you'll will be surprised what it can do and with a bit of supervision you will be surprised what you can fly! It was pretty scary for the first couple of flights but after a couple of flights you start to relax abd it is one of my favourite planes and yet to crash!!!

My second plane was a Superflying Models Eindecker ARF. Easy to fly but looks great... What type of flying do you like... Eindecker is great for scale flying... Slow and Pretty to watch. If your looking for faster excitement I've seen the GP Funtana being flown by first yr pilots. See my Gallery for a photo...

Get what you like, just dont get more than you can handle! I went with the U CAN DO .60 for my second plane. Lots of people are getting this plane for good reason, it performs extremely well. I liked moving on to the symmetrical low wing but getting the forgiveness of a THICK airfoil. Wing is FAT?Tall when you look at it from the end. It has all the abilities of any plane you can think of, but if you limit the control throws it flies VERY gently, but it is symmetrical you really have to fly it, if you roll it over 45 degrees and leave it there it stays there. All in all it is real tame and flies smoothly and gracefully. When I cranked up the rates (control throw movement) it will do wahtever you want it now and with authority. Dang fun plane to fly, and regardless of other opinions I think its a really nice looking plane. BTW get at LEAST a .70 engine. I have a OS .91Four Stroke in mine and the only time I go over half throttle is on takeoff and when climbing STRAIGHT up[sm=thumbup.gif]

i MUST agree. NOTHING, and i mean NOTHING flys like a stick. It was my 2nd plane(in 1982) and i still have one in my hanger now. This is one of the funnest all around sport planes, and after you get good, slap a bigger engine, turn up the rates and havea ball.

Now, if you are more ofa 3D lover, and not just having fun spinning and going fast, then Yes, a profile 3D plane si the way to go.
