3D planes are planes that have control surfaces that are excessively large and has up to 60 degrees of motion to allow the plane to be flown and controlled in the stalled condition. Any plane that meets this definition is a 3D plane.

DO you fly at the Johnson County club? (Indy South?)

I dont fly yet, I am here to learn as much as I can prior to flying this spring. I havent decided where I am going to join yet. Either [link=http://www.indyrcsouth.org/]Indy R/C South [/link] in Greenwood or the [link=http://www.screamingeagles.org]Screaming Eagles[/link] in Plainfield. The Screaming Eagles have 2 landing zones, one asphault, the other grass, and its about 10 mins closer to me.

as an after thought, maybe even the [link=http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Hangar/9018/]Monroe County R/C Club[/link] in Bloomington, very close to me.

More acronyms/terms are explained by Great planes... they have a good link

http://www.greatplanes.com/glossary.html

Ones that you will not see in there are...
YMMV - your mileage may vary.
EBKAC - error between keyboard and chair.

NBI. Stands for Newly Broken In
I don't know if there is an actual acronym for this but there should be since 90% of the engines on ebay are listed as such. Buying new engines, breaking them in, and selling them must be a new hobby.
