CafeenMan,
No thanks, I have had enough interviews this week. Trying to negotiate a contract really blows.

I wont argue about that (b/c thats how it should be spelled) but I will say that Mike McConville spells it with two P's in his article on the Funtana.

Not saying you guys are wrong about the spelling but Im not the only cat on the block who doesnt spell it right.
"Set the elevator channel at the master, and the flap as the slave (you're already using flapperon mix for the two aileron servos, right)."
- Mike McConville
"hey...I can tell you what I use flapperon and Spoileron mixes for...:
Flapperon: I use flapperon for very tight loops and of course I use the flaps along with a mix of down elevator as the nose tends to pitch up as the ailerons are dropped. To perform tigth inside loops, when the elevator goes up, the ailerons go down and you get a tight loops and vise versa for a outside loop.
Spoileron: Spoileron is used in my case with smaller planes and I have seen Mike McConville use it on his 46%TOC Ultimate. This helps the wings from rocking.
Inverted Harrier uses down elevator and the ailerons pitch downward also.
Right side up Harrier uses up elevator along with up ailerons. This is to prevent from more wing rocking I believe and to keep the plane more stable.
I don't know if you already know this, but I sure hope it helps.
see ya later

Please look at this link for a definition of flap or flaps. http://www.macquariedictionary.com.a...t/slang-f.html Nowhere does it mention aerodynamics. Perhaps the r/c fraternity has borrowed the term "set of flaps" from a comparative source. I can see a likeness, especially the extended and drooping ones. Kind regards, John.

The mind boggles at the concept of a set of flaps fitted to an R/C plane according to the definition given in the Australain dictionary of slang....
