Default Basic trim question......

I flew my plane today, a sig rascal 40 arf, it flys great but i had to add a lot of right trim for level flight , the elevator trim was ok.
The rudder is set to neutral also, its ok.
I set my ailerons in the neutral positions mechanicly, with the
aileron trims in neutral also, so now how do i neutral out
from there ? Thanks... BH

I assume you mean the ailerons were in the neutral position before you flew. Now your trim tab is over to the right on your transmitter. If this is the case, you have two options. If your trim was off by a large amount, you probably have a warp in the wing. To fix this, use a heat gun to heat the covering material while gently twisting against the warp to straighten it. If all go's well , it will solve the problem or at least make it better. I think this is how you get rid of warps, but I'm not completely sure. If your trim is off be just a few clicks, you can adjust it mechanically. You can adjust the control rods by extending the right one and shortening the left one. This is best done with the clevices. You could also just rotate the servo arm or arms to make the ailerons look like their in a right turn. I hope this helps. Dan

Default Basic trim question......

BH:
How much right thrust did the plans call for ? Did you have to hold
heavy right rudder on take-off ? With the dihedral it could be a
warped wing, not enough right thrust or the left wing is heavier than right when you try to balance.
