Default Belgian seeks rc-advice

Hi,

I live in Belgium, Western Europe , and we simply don't have the cheaper rc-planes over here ... in fact , we virtually don't have ANY electric powered planes in this part if the world...

I've been reading the stuff you guys wrote and I would very much like to purchase one ....beginner style .... toy-like ....out of the box and in to the air, I'm not too handy ...Let's say about 50-100 dollars, because it 'll cost me a lot to get it shiped all the way over here. 2 channel wil suffise ...

I'd say the Firebird II would be my best choice .... You guys agree ?
Is the ST version newer ? why does it cost 5 dollar more ?

And finally, I need to find a trustworthy company who can sent it all the way over to Europe ....

Thanx for your replies !

Get a "real" plane you will enjoy it a lot more, do you have a club in your area? If you do defidently go with a 4 channel trainer plane, it will give you some great, GREAT times!

You're close enough to Germany to take a road trip. Graupner and Robbe both make a lot of electric kits and ARF's.

Dont try and start with a cheap electric - or any sort of electric. I tried to learn that way - eventually gave up and bought a whole glow engine setup.

Don't try it on your own - find a club and they will teach you.

Best of luck.

BTW I was through Brussels a few years ago and visited among other palces the Royal Belgian Aviation Museum. Great place
