Broking in my Nexstar's .46 O.S engine

Default Broking in my Nexstar's .46 O.S engine

I don't even have the slightest clue on how to broke my engine in.... I had it cranked once but i quickly advanced the throttle and it shut off...and I never got it recranked.

any suggestions or responses...

Re-check your 3 hose setup. I had my pressure hose capped off and the re-fueling line connected to the muffler. It would run for a minute then die at throttle up. No pressure in the tank. Once I swapped it around she ran great....till that pine tree grabed it out of the sky.

Your Nexstar should have come with a manual just for your O.S. 46 engine. It explains in detail how to brake the engine in. If you dont have the manual let me know and i will post it for you word for word.

Engine running and "Break-in" can be tricky, especially if the needle valve(s) are off when shipped from the manufacturer, and for someone completely new to this.

You will need an instructor to learn to fly that thing, so I'd suggest going to the club field for help.

"Break-In"? Are you sure that's correct?

I braked mine, while I was broking it in. I threw a rag in the prop
to act like a break.[X(]
