Plane on Ebay for sale? Is it flyable? Repairable?

OK this plane has a little dammage but I am wondering if it would be worth it to buy still. Also I haven't seen this plane before is it somewhat of a rare bird?

I went and took a look at it, and what the seller is asking for just for shipping, you can buy a nice ARF. After all is said and done, that thing will end up costing you a bundle.

Just the fact that it looks like the seller took a hatchet to the cowl would keep me from buying it. There's no telling what he did to the rest of the plane.
