Hi,
Today was public holiday so I took my eagle 2 out for a flight at the nearest club. All went well after we finally got the motor going (tigershark 46) with 5% nitro fuel. Anyway here are some pictures.

The weather has been pretty good although the clouds opened up later on in the day.
One question, my instructor told me to switch the fuel tank around as the plane was pre-built and given to me. The tank outlet(wher all the tubing comes out) is facing away from the engine. Is this right?

Hi ZimboRaider, on the Eagle the fuel tank end with the line openings should face the engine, about the only time this set up changes is when using a pusher engine set up,the eagle is a tractor set up, meaning pulling the plane, having the lines at the wrong end can cause the fuel line not to pick up all the fuel as gravity carries it away from the pick up clunk.

Thanks guys,
Wings, you think this is green? Apparently we are in a drought!
Yub yub, it is good to see your engine fire up isn't it?
Terrel flyer, we switched the tank around and adjusted the trim(the plane hasnt been flown for five years) so now all we need is the batteries for the RX and TX.
Thanks again

Winter time[:@]
The leaves have been gone since late October. For the past two weeks there have been 2 inches of ice and snow on the ground. The grass is brown everywhere.
Here, we won't see anything remotely green untill late March.
I guess it could be worse, I could live in Canada, or Alaska.
Does New Zealand have winter time opposite of US? Or is it that green all year?

Cold weather?? Wings, you're in Kentucky fer cryin' out loud! Cold??
How about 10 below with a wind chill of 40 below? That's cold weather! [:@] And you get tired of hearing the weatherman tell you that any exposed skin will freeze in less than 30 seconds.
(Of course, it makes the 20 to 30 degree days we're having now seem like summer.

You are right,
I guess I'm a panzi. But in order for me to attempt to fly it has to be at least 40, prefereably 50.
It is still fun to fly in the cold (if you cant get the engine to run) but its not nearly as fun as having feeling in your hands and not buddled up like an eskimo.
