can you get a cord for the computer for a futaba 6exa from tower hobbies? If not, where do you get one? What is it called.
By the way, I am sure snowwave was only kidding.

wings, go to ebay and do a seller search for tti_7. Tom is the guy who sells a lot of this stuff. I've bought several things from his ebay store and he always ships fast. He actually specializes in FMS simulator supplies. He replies to questions fast and if you were to ask him if he has one for your radio he will respond pretty fast.

Does the cable you can buy for 50 bucks for the Futaba come with installation software?
If not, I was just WONDERING (probably a pretty far fetched ideal) if you could just buy a budd box cord for 5 bucks and splice it into a usb cord (assuming you can figure out which wire hooks to which wire by trial and error) and save 40 bucks?
I guess my question is, is there any kind of hardware in the cord, or is it simply a straight connection. I don't know If i am making since or not..........[

Is this a stupid idea? Probably so, but then again a coupld hundred years ago people thought flying was a stupid idea.

Matt Clement is (was?) a college student that was making the interface cables for FMS to put himself through school. He sells the older style cable (with the round connector) for about $25 shipped, and includes FMS on a CD. Don't know for sure if he's making the newer connectors, but he'll be reasonable if he is.
