I use a catch bottle on the overflow; an old fuel tank works well. Suck the overflow back into the jug at the end of the day...JIM

An old tank does work well. I have made a few from 35mm film cases. The tranparent ones. Set it up just like your fuel can. Put a loop of fuel line on top. Just plug the brass that goes to the bottem of the catch can into the line from your muffler. When the catch can starts to fill up just reverse the pump until it sucks the fuel out. All i do is epoxy or JB weld two pieces of brass line through the lid of the film case. Make one go to the bottem and one just through the lid. Leave about 3/8" out the top. Put your 2" fuel line on each end and the catch can is done.

Connect your fuel jug vent to the vent of the tank in the plane and when it is full, it just runs back into the fuel jug. Works great, no spills and can be done unattended.

I do the same thing Geistware does...works great, all you need is a few feet of fuel line, small piece of brass/copper tube and maybe a fueler end depending on how you fuel jug is set up.

Ok, thanks - I filled it up and no spills and the over flow cup worked good.

Don't forget to use clunk with filter and good filter in fuel line to tank. And I thought I was the only one connecting vent lines to prevent overflow.... Great minds and all that.....

Since I like to visit different fields, it shows that I am sensitive to the ecology and a lot of fields like that.

with a 4 stroker, do you have a line to keep the fuel out of the muffler? or do you just let the fuel get into the muffler and then stop?

It doesn't really. It comes FROM the muffler.

When the engine is running there is a high pressure in the muffler. This pressure is "pumped" in to the fuel tank creating a high pressure inside the fuel tank. This helps to "push" the fuel to the carbeurator.

I would not let fuel run into the muffler on a 4-C. If it's inverted or side mounted your OK. If it's upright the fuel will run into the cylinder when the exhaust valve opens.
