The booms that came with my kit are 40 inches long, but the drawing shows a boom 42 inches??? What's up with that? Am I just looking at the drawing wrong? My "manual" is from a vintage kit and isn't any help on this question. I will have an updated kit's manual soon, and it should be more helpful with these types of questions but I'm impatient to get started...

I do not have this kit. My guess is that they will work. 2" on the length should not make much difference. If you feel that you need to just run to the LHS and get some new wood. I would double check the plans and if the sticks are short I would use them. That is my own personal opinion.

Lightfoot and Redwing,
When you look at the plane from the nose end then, the piece of wood called the "motor mount" and the boom end and the plywood side of the fuse....are these three pieces flush?

Redwing,
Oh MAN, you guys are lifesavers! No, my plan doesn't look like that...it doesn't have that overhead view(which makes it very clear) it only has a side view. I'm at work right now, but when I get home I'll take a picture of my plan and post it if I can figure out how to post the pic.. (havn't done that before)

P.S I don't get off work until 11pm.

It worked...the next pic shows my instruction "manual"...only two pages...
in the previous post, the drawing shows a side view and that is the only view of the fuse drawn...I don't have the top view like your plan has.
