I have both the Ultra Stick 60 and the 4* 60 and recommend either one. I transitioned from my trainer to the 4*, but was flying the US 60 shortly after that. The US 60 has been set up with crow and quad flaps, but you don't have to use them if you don't want to. And if you keep the throw's on low rates, the US60 is very stable and handles very well at low speeds.

I know its redundant but I also would recommend the CG Tiger 60, I wrote a review of this plane for RCU check it out at

The RCM or Ace Cloud Dancer 60 is also a very good plane.
The Sig Kadet Senior is a very fun and versatile plane, makes for a good camera ship.
