Which other brands are compatible with JR. My father is just getting into the hobby and bought a used JR radio, we were wondering if it could be used with the Futaba equipment installed on the plane. What type of buddy cord does it use?(he hasn't recieved it yet that's why i don't know) Is this cord compatible with any other brands? Any info would be helpful.

JR and Futaba are not compatible for buddy boxing. Also you can't cross the receivers. As I understand it the servos will work, but in the opposite direction.

Mark is right. JR radio only buddy box with JR radios with JR buddy cords. The servos will interchange with Futaba and visa versa. You may have to trim the Futaba servo plug to fit the JR RX. DO NOT use the wrong charger. The polarity is different on the TX.
