Good thing I listened to DB when I saw his Piper Cub for the first time (before I got my plane), I was wowed! It looked so realistic, with the Cub Yellow covering... He said that they are not easy to fly.
That was partially why I got a Tiger II ARF with Cub Yellow covering

I was wondering about some of the postings - attitudes and why none of the regulars jumped in here, so I read some of your other posts. Wow, quite an accomplishment. You've managed to ticked off MinnFlyer, DBCherry, Flyboy and Geistware. I think the only regular who helps beginners that you haven't managed to offend is FHHuber.
Let me give you some advice. What ever your field of endeavor there will always be someone better than you. Learn to have some humility. If your skills are exceptional they will be recognized by your peers without you having to self promote or exaggerate them.
I'll give you two examples from history. Nikola Tesla developed 3 phase AC power. The motors, generators and distribution networks that make todays civilization possible. He was extremely brilliant, but he was also almost impossible to work with, very egocentric, kept to himself, basically one of the most self centered men of all time. Albert Einstein accomplished as much or more, he developed a new field of physics and was one of the most beloved men of his era. He was also extremely modest about his accomplishments.
Who is remembered today? You need to learn how to inter-react with people.

Hmmm, im not like that. You have a completely wrong idea. I dont believe i know it all, thats why i asked how to START THE MOTOR the first week i had my plane... That I flew it as soon as I knew how to start it, is another thing

No, we don't have the completely wrong idea.
The idea we have of you, is that you are an arrogant, disrespectful little boy. That is what you are, so we are not wrong. In fact, we are exactly right.
You like to wave the fact that you flew your plane for the first time by yourself under our noses, but what you fail to realize is that what you did was NOT spectacular by any means. What you did was extremely selfish, stupid and dangerous.
RCUniverse is here to help people who ask for it. You asked for help, and you got it. You were told everything that you needed to do to become a safe, and respected pilot. But you don't want that, it would take far too much of your time to follow the rules, and do things right.
I hope you enjoy your own company, because once you are an adult, not many people will care to be associated with you.
Need proof? Just look at the posts here at RCU. Everyone is always happy to help out a new guy, yet you get blasted at every turn. Doesn't that tell you something?
YOU are the one who has the completely wrong idea. To you, we are all haters for condemning you. We are not. We are some of the nicest, most helpful people you will ever know. We condemn your actions because they are wrong. But instead of taking the advise, you get angry and defensive.
You are not spectacular.
You are not special.
You are dangerous, nothing else.

I bet your like me. You dont want to be harsh with people like this, but sometimes enough is enough. I commend your words and your actions.

Doesn't have to do with realistic planes, but when Minn had associated, like I do now, the "paid keyword service" is thinking that Minn and I are referring to Team Associated, or AE, the car company that makes the RC10GT's...
I think the paid keyword service is a pain in the rear
Sorry, it doesn't have to do with scale planes or whatever... Just thought it is quite... odd

Can I get an AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well put Minn. Thanks for saying what everyone else is thinking about this guy. Hopefully he will get the message, but most likely he wont.

GTac is about the only person I've ever given a hard time to, on RCU or in my real life. I'm generally about as easy going as anyone you'll ever meet, but after just a few of his posts I'd had enough.
Mike's also right about his future. Unless he changes his attitude drastically, he won't be very well liked when he "grows up".

Then, about a day or two later, there was a post from you that asked something like "exactly how do you start an engine"
Maybe I missed the time frame on this? That is the order I saw your posts come in though. That right there told me you were so full of it that your eyes are brown.
Maybe try a little respect, quit acting like you are all holy for flying on your own, and maybe people will get a little respect for you down the road. It will take a while after your last few weeks here though. Change or get used to being not liked. Its that easy.

Right or wrong if in fact GTac01 is a child (not an adult) why don't all you big men stop picking on him and back off. I on the other hand am a grow adult so you can direct as much hate towards myself instead of GTac01. I'm the biggest pain in the butt (A-hole) in this forum but this makes me sick. Flame on.

LOL mike,
there simply pointing out the obvious to this person in hopes he will realize what hes done and change the way he treats people so he doesnt turn out like you
J/K
to be honest he deserves all of what he is getting here for the disrespect he has shown most here(young or old should know better), they ARE simply trying to help him so he becomes a better pilot who will be a fun person to fly with not someone you see coming and say to your buddy OH chit look whos here hope he doesnt come over here.
just my lost .02 worth.

Beating up on him won't help even if he deserves it. At the school yard it's called "ganging up on the little kid." All the adult rules change when we're talking about (or to) a child. 20 parents telling him what a bad child he is isn't the answer.

ROFL,
im guessing you dont have any kids, right ? punishment fits the crime.
do onto others as you want done onto yourself . my kids are 7 and 9 and they both know if they WANT RESPECT THEY NEED TO GIVE IT FIRST!!! and they also know if they do something wrong they WILL BE PUNISHED. if my kids TELL ME WHAT TO DO they know they will lose what it was they wanted from me in the first place.
lack of discipline is sad now days really sad.

P.S. im thinking this thread needs to go by the wayside soon its way off topic and i know im not helping it but just had to VENT

5 and 10 years old are my kids and they both know how to respect others and be polite. How I raised them to be good, polite, and respectful is none of your busness. I didn't say anything about discipline (too much or too little). I said a bunch of adults ganging up on a child that is NOT their child is not right and I won't sit by and let it happen.
#43
i.e. Your good child is upset and one day is rude to some adults outside the grocery store (unless he's God he isn't perfect). 10 adults suround him and start telling how bad he is and what a bad child he is (this isn't help). You come out the door with your shopping basket and see this. Do we need to make a poll to see what a parent would do next? This has nothing to do with what punishment the parent gives the child. What's happening here is wrong.
I hope everybody feels better about themself because they're tough enough to pick on a child.

Bottom line is if your big enough to open your mouth and dish it out, then your big enough to get it shut!!!!! If your gonna talk the talk, then you better be damn sure you can walk the walk.

Well Sponge Mike, I understand what you are saying, but it wasn't just this thread that lead to many telling the kid to grow up. Guess if hes going to play in the real world, he better get used to people slapping him down when he gets that way. As for this thread, I think it ran its course. Wish I could shut it down, but it isn't one of my forums. Maybe MN will do it for us.

Secondly, he might as well learn now that his type of behavior won't be tolerated here, and most likely won't be tolerated anywhere else either. (Although I'm betting that he wouldn't have the brass tacks to act like he does in front of any of us in person.)
Sorry you don't like the way I react to ignorant, rude, arrogant people but then again, I guess that's your problem.

You're too paranoid LOL, stuff like "you COULD have killed a person IF he was using the same frequency as you AND he was within 1 mile". How many people got killed by an rc airplane last year?

I'd like to see how anybody felt if this was their kid. And before you say your kid is perfect and wouldn't act like this... he isn't unless he's God.

What if you take it from another kid's perspective, and you were trying to help him with planes, and you ask him (both of you are kids) to get a buddy cord to go fly, and then he takes it out on you? It's like nicely fixing the other guy's computer, but having the other guy beat you up for helping him. That's what's going on here.
