Default hinge question on my trainer

it isn't gonna hurt anything that i took the original 1 piece hinges out and installes regular 2 peice hinges on my new trainer, i am just not real fond of those 1 peice hinges like that, it seems to me like they would wear out and break and that is why i switched just wanted to make sure it will be ok???????
thanks in advance,
mike

NO, the type of hinge will not matter.

Just be sure the hinges are installed well and that they are lined up to prevent binding.

You want the control surfaces to move... but not to fall off.

Those hinges should work just fine. The only suggestion I would give is to pin them. What I mean is after the hinges are glued in. You drill a hole in each half through the moveable surface and the mount. Then glue a hardwood dowel, toothpick or whatever you can find. This is just a safty thing, just in case. Good luck.
