Futaba 9C transmitter questions
I was interested in buying a 9c transmitter with an arrow rtf. I am aiming for the UCD 3D 46 or 60 as my next plane. Will this limit my abilities with the UCD. I also was wondering if it would be better to buy the arrow rtf and then buy the 9C with the UCD. If possible can anyone give me a good price for the 9C, I have found a place that will sell me one for $350 with servos and campac memory. Any help is greatly appreciated.

RE: Futaba 9C transmitter questions
The arrow is a good trainer, it won't "limit" you in any way... it will teach you too fly if you do your partIf your set on sticking with the hobby no matter how much you may crash or get frustrated/aggravated then by all means buy the most radio you can afford. a basic 4ch will work for a trainer and many sport planes HOWEVER sooner or later you will want more advanced features... buy once not twice, get more radio than you need NOW. the 9C is a dam nice radio... it's what I use to fly 10+ planes, you will be hard pressed to out grow a 9C. 350 with flight pack is a good price, I paid 300 for my TX/RX only combo, once you learn to fly you can just buy another flight pack for your next plane.

Your getting good advice. I also have a 9C. It very user freindly and like John said you wont out grow it any time soon. If you fly with some other guys find out what FREQs they use. This way you wont have the same channel as anybody else.

IF you can afford it get it. IF maybe some day you want to fly helis
the 9C will be waiting for you. The 9C is a good radio for any setup.
The 9C is not a must for most airplanes you can get buy with 6 channel
radio for most air planes. I have recommened the 9C to first time
buyers on this form before but most people say to get the 6 channel
radio. I say if you can afford it get it and dont look back cause the
9C will be the only radio you will ever need most likely.

Check out www.servocity.com they have the 9C with a flight pack for 310.00. You can also custom build a radio set with the servo's, receiver and battery pack that you want. I just ordered one to replace all of my other radios.

Now that's one helluva buy! servo city had the TX only a few months ago for 269.99 no compaq, I picked up mine from Bruckner for 259.99 with compaq and opted to buy the 148df W/ X-tal for an extra 40 bucks.
