Default Second Plane opinion for beginner!

I have been flying for about a month and a half now and kinda have the itch for something better. Right now I have an Eagle 2 with an O.S. 46 engine. It's entertaing enough for a beginner, but I think I'm beginning to grow out of it. I am 18 years old and am on a college budget, in other words, I have basically no money. I am looking for an opinion on a good second plane that is capable of loops and roles and more than likely a low wing. I would like a nice looking plane no bigger than around 60 to 70 inches of wing span and an engine no bigger than a 90 2-stroke, and of course nothing that will prevent me from making my bill payments. Feel free to e-mail anytime with your thoughts and thanks for your time. Sincerely, Csiman18

Default good 2nd planes

Yep, the Tiger 2 in kit or ARF or an H9 Advanced 40 ARF is also a very good flyer. They both have incredible speed envelopes and will slow down like a trainer to land!

Definately a Carl Goldberg Tiger II or Tiger 60. It's not too hot for a rookie, but it will do every trick in the book.

And it looks nice too! Here's a pic of the one I just built for my wife.

The Sig 4*60 is available in a kit or ARF versions. If you really want to keep costs down, get a 4*40 (kit only) and move your .46, servos, and receiver to it. A 4*40 with a OS .46 FX will perform very well.

Default SIG 4* 40

You can get a 4* 40 kit for about $70.00.
It makes a very good first low wing plane.
Some people buy them for their 1st plane.
It will loop, roll, knife edge, flat spin, snap roll, and fly just as well inverted as it will upright.
As Spike said you can move your same engine, radio and servos to your new plane to save you $$$.

Good luck with whatever you pick,

Tim
