Congrats! Did you buy the ARF or the kit?

I built and own both, and I can tell you they both fly great. Ask away if you have any questions.

I had the older Easy Sport ARF (with the crappy covering) and a TT Pro .46......great combo! You'll have a blast with the plane.....it was always my "I don't give a crap" plane, so I flew the heck out of it......I eventually sold it and got a Hangar 9 Ultra Stick 40 after I got many many fun flights out of it. You'll be happy with it! [8D]

You're gonna love it and the engine choice is spot on!!! Here's the one I built and modified to a taildragger, increased the control surfaces by 25% and it has a ST .45 on the nose with Garfield flying it! Will give it its maiden flight this year, oh forgot also clipped one wing bay off each wing. I built one stock for a friend and when I flew I knew I had to have one for myself.

PS: I forgot to mention that I changed the wing holddown to 2 nylon bolts through the top instead of one through the bottom. I had a ball doing this scheme and the plane was featured in Ed Moorman's column in R/CReport last year.

i have a student that wants to buy the easy sport for his first plane. I looked at it and have heard its a gentle flyer. anyone think it will make a bad trainer? I dont think it will be much more difficult than say, a midwest aerobat trainer.

I say go for it as it's a real stable flyer and we taught a guy to fly on one, no problem and the good thing is it can be considered a second plane, just set it up with more control throw.

Gotta love the EasySport. Mine had an OS 52 FS in the nose and flew great right up until the mid-air over the landing strip [X(]. I can remember it so clearly now, after the collision she went into a beautiful knife edge. Easy to do when the left side of the wing is missing....
