Default Fuel proofing foam planes

HI,
I'm just about to finish with my CBM A-10. i've got a few questions.

1) What type of fuel proofer and sealing is best for foam?
2) What type of paint works best? i want a desert camo design.

Thanx, any help would be appreciated.

Kyle

Default RE: Fuel proofing foam planes

You should finish the model as per the instructions, which is to completely cover in fiberglass.
The video that came with the kit will give you detailed instructions on how to 'glass the plane.
Afterwards, a good automotive paint would work, or even water-based latex paint with a clear
urethane for protection. Since the engine is mounted in back between the nacelles, (unless you are going with ducted fans), there should be little if any fuel on the model after flights.
