Default Pitts Muflers

Just got my hands on a shiny new briston for my 46FX and was wondering if i need to plug one of the outlets?

Ive read on hear that the ones for bigger engines need one of the pipes pluged as it is too free flowing,do the little pitts need to be pluged?

Run it first, and see how the engine performs. If you have fuel draw problems, ie the engine goes lean on verticals or near the end of the tank, then you might try blocking or partly blocking an outlet. Basically all you are doing is increasing the backpressure to the fuel tank and forcing more fuel in to the engine. Some engines draw fuel better than others, and some airplanes have better tank arrangements than others. You could also go to a fuel pump if you wanted the high$ answer .

I am running my .46FX with this muffler. You don't need to plug anything. Bolt it on and go fly.

Hi Mr. TTMR I see you have a Slim. on your Cub? I'm building a GP J-3 ARF w/ an OS 65 LA and a Slim. Pitts too. Any tips or suggestions? I plan to use a GP filler valve, probably. Not sure yet. Thnx Bill
