Four strokes are especially torquey (torqueish? torqueful?)
and harder on a spinner.
I think a lot of the problems with the ate-up spinner has to do with whether you have a silicon or rubber cone in it...

Pull the starter away from the spinner. Get it spinning so it has a running start. Start the engine and add stripes to the cheap plastic spinner.
