So i got myself a 2nd job. It pays 10$ an hour, but only ~30 hours a month (hey, i'm 17, it's worth it). So that money will go towards my college, buuuuttt... I have a current job that makes me about $250 a month. Now since i wont be putting that towards college, i need to spend it on somethin!
Anywho, I only have a Four-Star 40 right now, with an OS .46FX in it, and a Focus 4 radiosystem. What kind of things should i get (I'm sitting on a $250 paycheck right now). I really want to get a 2nd plane in the air with the 4*. I am kind of interested in funflying, or 3D stuff. Is it possible to get a .40 size plane RTF with $250? I might just get an ARF because i suck at kits, so i was looking at a Dazzler, with maybe a .40 LA in it? My main problem is the radio. I dont think i'll need more than 5 channels, so another 4-channel system would work for me. Any suggestions on the cheap side? (I say Tower has their own brand for 130, but i've never heard of anyone using one!). Anyways, thanks for the suggestions, hopefully i can afford to have fun now!

It sounds like you are buying a second radio for your second plane, why? You don't really need to. You can buy a flight pack for your channel, and in that you get a battery, servos, reciever, reciever crystal, servo tray, and a lot of other stuff. And it is cheaper than a whole new radio system! So you save a lot of money there.

I saw the Tower Hobbies Uproar on special the other day for $40.00. Add a TT 46 Pro BB engine and you've got a great little fun flyer on the cheap.

I would try to stay away from the dazzler arf. The fuse ontop of the wing is way too small, i think it was near 1/4 in. I cracked that on my first flight, fixed it, put it in later. They say the kit is alot better, structure wise. There was also another person in my club with a dazzler arf that managed to fly the front off it don't ask how

I'm looking at the Uproar, and i see the kit is 40, but i am really bad at kits. My four-star has the worst covering job ever. I'd rather go with an ARF and save myself the uglyness. Also, the TT 46 Pro looks good, but maybe a little pricey still (I know, i'm way too cheap for you guys). However, if i decide to splurge, i'll probably grab it.

40 bux for the uproar kit so you add the glue, putty, covering, all the other lil stuff for a kit and you are into it for more than 100 bux! arf would be the way to go on that one, i think.....
but i know what you are feelin like right now, im 16 and i work 40+hrs a week, i have no time to fly much less build kits. but i need the money so im stuck in this "boat" for a while.
and the dazzler and the uproar are similar if i am correct? i was thinking about getting me a dazzler also but then read, something i don't do very often! and the wing does NOT come off, personaly do not like that idea but if thats fine with u i hear they are great planes
as far as 3D goes i also have a funstar 46 by pheonix models the controls are huge it is made for "beginner 3D" i have an la 46 in it for now, hope to upgrade once i fly it and get used to it then i might go 4c or 46ax im not sure yet, any suggestions there?
thats my 2 sense!

Ah thanks, The more I think about this, the harder it becomes! See, what i want to be able to do is just have fun with my plane. Fly it around, do some snaps, make it go absolutely crazy, then see if i can recover it! Now i'm looking into maybe building a SPAD! When i think about it, a .25 spad i could even bring up to my local park and mess around with. It would be much cheaper, but i dont know if i could fly it. Do spads fly considerably harder than a dazzler or uproar? The four-star can by my real plane, but i want a plane to just go crazy with!

well i have one of them too! i built a spad3d(spa3d) well it ballanced out on the wing correct but i never tried down the fus! didn't fly right broke 2 props motor mount and am building a new wing at the moment the good thing about them is that you can just slide a new wing on in minutes, i always cary a spare vertical and horizontal stab in my flight box!
