Why is it that i cannot get a R/X crystal from the LHS i have tried all of them that are in my area but none of them keep them instock. i even tried to buy a new receiver just so i could get one. all i want is one on either channel 19, 21, 29 or 31. is it just that they dont sell many of them so its not worth keeping them in stock? i would order one from futaba or tower hobbies but i want to fly this weekend and if i ordered now i would not get it until next week. just thought i would vent some frustration

There are 50 channels,(72mhz air) and around 6 brands. That would mean that the LHS would have to stock around 300 TX and 300 RX crystals. Then we could get into the 75mhz, 27mhz, 50mhz, and 53mhz. As you see it is easier just to order them as customers need them. You could get it from Tower Hobbies with overnight shipping.[8D]

Mike hit the nail on the head. I doubt there's a local hobby shop anywhere that could afford to keep hundreds, if not thousands, of crystals in stock in CASE we happen to need one some day.

Can't really blame them.

yeah i know that for hobby stores to keep stock of all frequencies they would probably nees another store just to keep them all in. but when you cannot get the cystals you want and ask to buy a new receiver to overcome that problem and be told sorry we dont stock them what the hell they sell kits but no r/x's [&:] its not like i am saying i need one on one freq only i asked for channels 19, 21, 29 and 31 but no low band rx or high band for that matter. well im happy now as i ended up just buying a new module and using the crystal out of my P51
