Only Two Propellers ? I install this engine to Extra 300 S 60 of Seagull Models.

I experimented with different props and found the APC 12x6 seemed to work best for me on that engine. Just the right amount of torque without sacrificing a lot of speed. The Evo .61 is a good engine. I ended up selling the plane (Ultrastick 60) and engine to my brother. If it was a dud I wouldn't have sold it to my brother!

The scimitar will probably work just fine.

Straight from the Master Airscrew technical bulletin on props:

2-Stroke Engines

.049 - .051 = 5.5x4, 5.5x4.5, 6x3, 6x3.5, 6x4

.09 - .10 = 7x3, 7x4, 7x5, 7x6

.15 = 7x6, 8x3, 8x4, 8x5, 8x6, 8x7

.20 - .25 = 8x6, 8x7, 9x4, 9x5

.29 - .35 = 9x6, 9x7, 9x8, 9.5x6, 10x4, 10x5, 10x6

.40 = 9.5x6, 10x4, 10x5, 10x6, 10x7, 10x8, 10x9

.45 - .50 = 10x7, 10x8, 11x4, 11x5, 11x6, 11x7, 11x7.5

.60 = 11x5, 11x6, 11x7, 11x7.5, 11x8, 11x9, 11x10

.71 - .80 = 12x6, 12x8, 13x6, 13x8, 13x10, 14x8

.90 = 13x6, 13x8, 13x10, 14x6, 14x8

As you can see, there is a fair variety to select from. Don't be afraid to experiment within reason. You will be able to tell fairly quickly what works for you . Good luck.

According to Power Point's top flight chart you can use the following,
11 X 6 , 11 X 7 , 11 X 8 , 11 X 10 , 12 X 6 , 12 X 8 ,been using the 12 X 6 with success.

The ads for the EVO engine state that they get 12000 rpm with an APC 12-6 prop. This sounds like a pretty strong engine if thats the case so thats what I put on the front. The first days flying I only got around 11,300 rpm which was dissapointing. The next time I took it out it started to pick up revs. After a few flights I was getting 11,600 rpm. By the end of the day I never checked the rpm but the plane was burning holes in the sky and I am really begining to like this engine! Based on this I would throw on an APC 12-6 and go have fun![
