Default Engine Cleaner

Any suggention on how to get the a glow engine and muffler clean from residual oil and other burned on grime.

I used the anti-freeze method. I had heard about it but never gave it too much thought until a friend of mine tried it. I put it in a pot and filled it with some cheap anti freeze and heated it until it just started to steam. I let it sit for 4 hours at this temperature. It worked really well.

i second that,i bought some of the gungiest engines you ever saw at an auction,they were in the pot for about 6 hours and came out like new,the wife went mad about the pan though!

The crockpot and antifreeze method is about the easiest method I've ever seen. Just be sure to never use the crockpot for food again! You'll poison yourselves.

Thank you for the anti freeze idea. How does this method affect o-rings in the carb. and needle valve? Does anything need to be removed from the engine / muffler other than fuel lines.
