I think you want to run at least 10% nitro, but I'm no expert either. I ran only 10% for a long time and was amazed at the increase in power when I switched to 15% in my TT Pro 46. On the other hand, I have an OS 46 that will not run on 15% on a hot day.
As to the Voltwatch, I just installed my first one last week and it seems to be giving fairly accurate indication on on-board voltage - I've been checking it against my voltmeter. I like having a visible light to at least tell me that I forgot to turn the darn switch off. I've also read here that the voltwatch can provide an indication of an electrical problem. If the lights are flashing all over the place when operating the servos, something is amiss. IMHO, Voltwatch is cool, but don't rely solely on it. You still need a voltmeter.

You engine will run just fine on any thing from 0% (FIA) to 15%, & you will not notice much difference in power with a sport engine (5% or 10% is great). Unless the weather is cold, you won't get any advantage from 15% --- & it costs more.

OK, I decided to just go with the Tower Hobbies fuel brand, 10%, and if it isn't working out for me I'll try some other fuel mixes. I think I'm ready to order, I have just two questions:
1. Latex Foam Rubber: Will I need it? The site says it protects the engine/fuel tank from foaming, and it protects the radio gear. Will it be a good investment? I'm only looking at 2.50 for 8"x12", and 1/4" thick. There is also a same size, 1/2" thick sheet; which one would work better? I can see 1/2" working better, but I don't know if it's necessary for my size plane. Which should I pick, and should I order 2 or 3?
2. Epoxy selection. I have a 1. oz. bottle of Medium CA on my list, but there's 6 minute and 30 minute epoxy available to me. Which should I buy? Is 30 minute stronger, and if so, will I need that kind of strength? Someone at my LHS said awhile back that 30 minute epoxy is weaker than 6 minute, and is only for show (he said it gave a glossy finish). Which should I get? (By the way, I'm getting Tower Hobbies brand 4. oz, does Tower make good adhesives and will 4 oz. be enough? I think so, but just to be safe)

Really quick note: I have noticed before that the carb is in the front of the motor. Being a complete newbie to glow engines, I had no idea what that meant. My friend told me, however, that is where you adjust the rich/lean settings, and that it's right near the prop, and that I could easily get chopped by the prop. He suggested (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXGGV7&P=ML), because the carb is in the back. Should I go with this engine? If not, are there any other engines that have remote needles without having to pay alot more?
