Why should I care what materials are used?

My chief concerns are;

- is it safe?
- is it appropriate (is the student going to have a good experience or end up frustrated)

if you're asking what my first reaction would be, then I'd have to say I am somewhat biased from what I've seen locally.

I'd probably groan (to myself) expecting something bashed together with kitchen drawer tools that weighs too much and has so much flex you can't tell which maneuvers were commanded and which were a result of flutter....

Before anyone flames me, I'm not saying this because SPAD is bad, I'm saying this has been my experience.
In defence of SPAD, I will say that we have one one recent ex-student who has been doing quite well with his SPAD combat plane.
